Week 7 Marathon Update

Well I met my goal with running, but I dropped the ball of pushups. I think I will try setting a reminder to my phone for the pushups. It is finally starting to feel like Spring up here. Yesterday I ran in shorts for the 1st time!!

Total – 13.66

Weekly Goal – Run 3 times a week with 20 pushups everyday.

Week 6 Marathon Update

We had miserable weather last week. We actually had freezing rain and snow at one point. Needless to say, nobody wants to run in freezing rain. It did get out for 2 decent runs but overall I did not meet my goal. The good news? It looks like we have finally turned the corner on winter. It’s supposed to get up into the 70’s this week. The only bummer is that we are heading into a lot of rain. That means I probably won’t be able to bring my iPhone. I’m not very good at running without music so it might be a challenge. 

So here is how Week 6 stacked up…

March 10 – 6.11 (20 pushups)

Week 5 Marathon Update

Sad to report that it was another rough week. I only ran 1 day and was sick with a cold for most of the week. I actually used a sick day at work and that rarely happens. I did manage to play in a few soccer games, but overall it was not a successful week.

April 1 – 0 miles (0 pushups)

April 2 – 2 indoor soccer games (0 pushups)

April 3- 0 miles (0 pushups)

April 4 – 0 miles (home sick from work) (0 pushups)

April 5 – indoor soccer game (0 pushups)

April 6 – 0 miles (0 pushups)

Average – 2.76 miles

Total – 2.76 miles

Weekly Goal – Run 3 times with at least one 6 miler, 20 push ups a day.

It’s a new week and I think I’ve finally turned the corner on this cold so I will keep pushing.

Back on track!

Much better week than last week!! We were cat sitting for my parent’s this week and that gave me an excuse to run in Peru (no traffic, beautiful scenery). Also, the weather was much nicer! Spring is almost here and it makes running so much easier. Here’s the update…

March 25 – 4.33 miles (20 pushups)

March 26 – 6.15 miles (20 pushups)

March 27 – 7.26 miles (20 pushups)

March 28 – 2.91 miles (20 pushups)

March 29 – soccer game (20 pushups)

March 30 – 0 miles (0 pushups)

Average – 4.13 miles

Total – 20.65 miles

I met my goal of running at least 3 times and one 6 miler (I actually did 2!). I did not do 20 push ups everyday, only 5 out of 7.
